The Honjo Masamune Sword
It was created by Honjo Masamune who lived from 1264 to 1343. He was known as the greatest sword maker to have ever lived. Honjo Shigenaga gained this sword after a battle won during the 16th Century. After a period of time, the sword came into possession of Tokugawa Ieyasu, who is known to be the first Shogun after winning a series of battles.
The sword was passed down through the Tokugawa family until the end of World War II. It was then handed over to American authorities when America had the occupation of Japan. For obvious reasons, the Americans feared that this sword would be used against them.
The sword disappeared and has never been seen since. It is possible that the American military destroyed the sword. It is also possible that the sword was brought to America, meaning that eventually, it may surface at some point.
